What happens next?
Students who register during the Dec-Jan school holidays will be able to create their Online Record Book (ORB) early and begin to think about what activities they will do for each component if they are 14 years of age. Students that are in Year 9 but 13 years will need to wait until day 1 of Term 1, 2024.
Step 1: Research, plan out and decide what activities you will do for each component (here are some ideas).
Step 2: Use the S.M.A.R.T Goals framework to help you think about how you will challenge yourself for each component.
So you are officially registered on the Online Record Book (ORB)...but what is the ORB?
ORB is an online logbook where you will need to log your hours for all components (Volunteer Service, Physical Recreation, Skills & Journey).
To make things easier, you can download the 'Duke of Ed' app on the App Store or Google Play, and log your hours through your mobile. The app works offline, so you can update it at any time.
Watch the video to learn how to use the platform and log hours.
